Barcelona, a city to love


Barcelona is a city located in northeastern Spain, is the capital of Catalunia, the province of the same name. Located on the shores of the Mediterranean Sea, about 120 km south of the mountains of the Pyrenees and the French border, on a plain bounded by the sea to the east, the Sierra de Collserola to the west, the south by Llobregat river and Besós River to the north.

The city has a long and rich architectural history, starting with the remains of the ancient Roman settlement founded Barcelona, which only archaeological remains, and scattered fragments, such as the columns of the Temple of Augustus in the building of the Center Excursionista Catalonia, the remains of Barcino in the basement (integrated within the Museum of the City of Barcelona) and the ancient walls.
But undoubtedly the most famous modernist architect of Barcelona was Antoni Gaudí, among its most important works, which each year attract millions of visitors from around the world are the Templo Expiatori de la Sagrada Familia, that Gaudí left unfinished and is still under construction with donations and contributions from individuals and visitors, and is due to be finish by 2020. Another of the best known works are the Gaudi Parc Guell, Casa Mila, also known as La Pedrera and Casa Batlló.
Barcelona also has many Musseums and a very important cultural life, making the city a place to love.
